It is the mission of The Great Awakening to reach the least, the last, and the lost and through the power of God, address their human conditions by empowering them to transform their lives. Through the love of God facilitate the spiritual growth of all people that we may become one.

It is the vision of The Great Awakening that the least, the last, and the lost will transform their lives, and that we become an instrument that facilitates the spiritual growth of all people who seek God.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

As a Faith Community we believe that all persons are children of God, created in God's image, and affirm the inherent value, worth, and dignity of all races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, and gender identities, without regard to one's marital status, family structure, faith, and educational background, economic and social standing, mental and physical ability, military or civilian status.
